Technical Advice: If the armrest drops by itself or requires significant force to lift, it means the gas spring has lost its properties (gas leak). During replacement, it is recommended to check the condition of the M8 ball studs – if they are rusted or worn, they should be cleaned and a small amount of solid grease applied before snapping the new spring sockets into place.
