KMP Brand Forged Shafts – Better than Regrinding
Regrinding an old shaft can be risky (micro-cracks, material fatigue). We offer brand new, forged crankshafts in standard size (STD). They are ready to install, balanced, and have hardened journals, ensuring factory durability in Turbo engines.
Crankshaft Oil Seals
Oil leaking from the gearbox or pulley is a common fault. We stock:
- Rear seals (flywheel side): Often integrated with an aluminum housing (in newer Perkins engines).
- Front seals (timing side): Made of Viton, resistant to high temperatures.
- Wear Sleeves (Speedi-Sleeve): Allow you to save a shaft with a worn groove under the seal.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Most KMP shafts for Perkins and CAT engines are Forged Steel, which ensures significantly higher fatigue strength than cheaper Cast Iron replacements.
Some kits (e.g., KMP Brand) may include bearings, but typically the shaft is sold "bare". Bearings must be selected separately in the correct size (usually STD for a new shaft).
