JCB Dipper Arm Spring Bushing (32x39x160mm)
Spring bushing for the dipper arm. It is a structural component designed for popular, compact models of backhoe loaders. This bushing precisely guides the arm pin, effectively dampens vibrations transmitted from the work equipment, and radically reduces wear on mating surfaces, protecting the excavator arm against costly repair of wallowed-out sockets.
Key product features:
- Spring (split) design: The longitudinal slot gives the bushing elastic properties. During press-fitting, the element gently compresses, which guarantees tremendous resistance in the socket. This prevents the bushing from rotating inside the arm – the sliding movement takes place solely between the bushing and the pin.
- Maximum impact strength: The bushing is made of hardened steel, capable of withstanding the huge shearing and crushing forces that occur during digging or breaking up hard ground.

Technical Advice: The installation of long (160 mm) spring bushings requires specific technical knowledge! Never install the bushing randomly. The longitudinal slot (split) should always be oriented at a 90-degree angle to the axis of the greatest load (pushing/pulling direction). Placing the slot directly facing the direction of the main working force will lead to its rapid deformation and cracking. Before starting the press-fitting process, also ensure that the socket in the dipper arm is even and not flattened – a damaged socket will prevent the bushing from properly compressing and locking in place.
