Boom lock pin by AZERI PARTS. Designed for JCB backhoe loaders. It performs an absolutely critical function from a safety perspective – it is used to mechanically lock the rear digging arm in a vertical position. This prevents the boom from accidentally dropping or swinging while the machine is traveling on public roads.

Technical Advice: Never travel with the machine on public roads without the lock pin physically inserted! Relying solely on hydraulic locks is a huge risk – a sudden burst of an old hose means the multi-ton arm will immediately drop straight onto the road, which can lead to a traffic disaster. On the other hand, remember to always remove the pin before starting work on the construction site. Attempting to forcefully lower a locked arm by the operator most often ends in severe bending of the pin itself or tearing out the mounting "ears" from the frame!
