JCB Center Pin Castle Nut M20 - 826/01443

The M20 castle nut is a safety component of the articulation system in JCB wheel loaders. The specific slotted design (castle) allows for precise locking of the nut against self-loosening using a cotter pin. This solution is essential for structural points of the machine subjected to constant vibrations and extreme dynamic loads.

When tightening the nut, torque it to the required specification; if the cotter pin hole does not align with a slot, tighten the nut further to the next available slot (never loosen the nut to align it).
