Technical Advice: Delaying the replacement of worn sliding pads is the fastest way to destroy the machine's boom! When the plastic pad wears through completely, "metal on metal" friction occurs, which in a short time creates deep gouges in the boom profiles. Before installing new pads, absolutely clean the boom of old, dirty grease and sand. After installation, adjust the clearances (using shims if required) and apply a thick layer of a dedicated lubricant (e.g., Aura Wax Oil), which will reduce friction and at the same time will not attract dust from the construction site.
