Workshop Tip: Excessive clearance between boom segments causes a characteristic "knocking" sound during travel and operation under load. When installing shims, always check the condition of the wear pads (guides) – if they are excessively worn, adjustment with shims alone may not be sufficient to restore full operational precision.
