Workshop Tip: Before installing a new oil seal, carefully inspect the condition of the shaft (journal) surface. If deep grooves or wear marks are visible where the previous seal operated, a new seal alone may not be enough to ensure tightness. It is recommended to lightly coat the sealing lip with grease before installation to prevent a "dry start" and premature wear.
