Even a micro-damage to the O-ring surface can lead to internal leaks, resulting in oil overheating and premature burning of the clutch discs. Before assembly, it is essential to lubricate the O-ring and the drum race with clean transmission oil to avoid "shearing" the rubber when pressing in the piston.
