JCB Pinion Gear Adjustment Shim Kit – AZERI PARTS

Set of precision spacer (adjustment) shims. Manufacturer: AZERI PARTS. This kit is designed for servicing main gears in JCB drive axles. The shims are used for the precise setting of the pinion gear depth and for adjusting bearing preload, which is critical for the correct meshing of the gear pair (crown wheel and pinion).

Incorrect adjustment (gear mesh too tight or excessive backlash) leads to transmission overheating, noisy operation (whining), and rapid gear tooth chipping. Every time pinion bearings are replaced, the gear contact pattern must be checked using marking compound and corrected using the shims from this kit.
