JCB Battery Wet 12V 130Ah 850A - ORIGINAL

Original JCB lead-acid battery (filled with electrolyte). It serves as the primary energy source for the machine's electrical systems at a standstill and is responsible for delivering the necessary current to the starter when starting diesel engines in JCB heavy equipment.

Technical features:

  • Current parameters: Capacity of 130 Ah and CCA cranking amps at 850 A (according to EN standard), ensuring the ability to start the engine in low ambient temperatures.
  • Design: Flooded (wet) type. Requires a vertical mounting position to avoid the risk of sulfuric acid solution leakage.

Technical Advice: Before connecting a new battery, grind the inside of the terminal clamps to remove the oxide layer and protect them with technical petroleum jelly or copper grease. Dirty clamps generate high resistance, limiting the 850A starting power by up to half. Due to the significant weight (approx. 33 kg), the replacement should be carried out in a proper position and using the solid transport handles of the casing. After installation, absolutely check the charging voltage – a faulty voltage regulator (above 14.4V) will lead to rapid "boiling over" of the electrolyte in a flooded battery and irreversible damage to the plates.
