JCB Camshaft Oil Seal (Simmering)
Camshaft oil seal (simmering). It was specially designed for drives used in JCB machines, such as compact wheeled loaders and industrial forklifts (Teletruk series). Its main task is to ensure the tightness of the lubrication system, blocking oil leakage outside the engine block and protecting the timing drive components.

Technical Advice: A leak from the camshaft oil seal is not just a matter of topping up the engine oil. In many drive units, the leaking oil flows directly onto the timing belt. Engine oil rapidly degrades and weakens the rubber structure of the belt, which can lead to it skipping or breaking completely – and this means a catastrophic collision of pistons with valves. Always replace oil seals prophylactically with every timing belt change. When installing a new simmering, make sure the shaft surface has no grooves, and lightly lubricate the sealing lip with clean oil to avoid it rolling under.
