Lower Rocker Cover Gasket (fits ISUZU 4HK1) - AM 8973313601
High-quality lower rocker cover gasket by AM for ISUZU 4HK1 engines. The gasket seals between the cover and the cylinder head, preventing engine oil leaks. The 4HK1 engine uses two cover gaskets - upper and lower; this part is the lower element. A worn or hardened gasket shows up as oil leaks from under the valve cover and a dropping oil level. Workshop Technical Tip: On the 4HK1 engine the valve cover is sealed by two gaskets (upper and lower) - when an oil leak occurs it is worth replacing both at once, as they age at a similar rate. When replacing, always thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of old gasket material and oil deposits - remnants will prevent a correct seal. Tighten the cover bolts to the correct torque and in sequence from the centre outwards per ISUZU specification - over-tightening risks warping the cover. Do not use excess silicone - the gasket is designed to run dry or with minimal sealant in the corners only.
