Technical Advice: Installation of undersize bearings strictly requires professional crankshaft machining at a specialized grinding facility. Before final assembly, thoroughly clean the oil galleries in the shaft and check the clearance of the lubrication holes in the connecting rods. Remember to use clean engine oil to lubricate the bearing surfaces and to tighten the conrod bolts with a torque wrench according to the torque and angle specifications recommended by the engine manufacturer (new conrod bolts are usually required).
