Technical Advice: Cooling system quick couplers are components that lose elasticity over time and may become brittle. During every coolant change, inspect the condition of the internal sealing ring (O-ring) and the metal locking clip. Before installation, it is recommended to moisten the seal with clean coolant, which will facilitate the seating of the coupler and prevent the rubber from folding over. Remember: the characteristic "click" and the inability to pull out the hose without retracting the locking clip is the only proof of correct installation.
