The main air filter is a filtration element specifically designed for modern JCB EkoMax Tier 4 / Stage IV & V engines. Serving as the first stage of intake system protection, this filter effectively eliminates dust, sand, and other solid contaminants before they reach the inner safety filter and the turbocharger.

Workshop Tip: EkoMax Tier 4 engines are extremely sensitive to the quality of intake air due to high-precision injection systems and VGT turbochargers. Never clean the outer filter with compressed air – this can cause microscopic tears in the paper structure, invisible to the naked eye, allowing dust to enter the engine directly. The filter must be replaced with a new one immediately when the restriction indicator lights up or according to the service interval.
