JCB Pilot / Servo Control Filter Element
Hydraulic filter element, used in the pilot (servo) control circuit of JCB construction machinery. This filter performs a critical protective function for the most sensitive power hydraulic components, such as control joysticks, solenoid valves, and main control valve spools. It effectively eliminates micro-contaminants from the hydraulic oil, preventing sticking in control mechanisms and ensuring smooth machine operation.

Technical Advice: It is recommended to replace the pilot filter element during every standard hydraulic filter change or if a "sluggish" joystick response is observed. A contaminated pilot filter can cause pressure drops in the control circuit, preventing main valve spools from opening fully, which leads to a loss of force and speed in the machine's movements. During replacement, check the filter bowl for metal shavings, which could indicate a failing pilot pump.
