Workshop Technical Advice – Bucket Installation & Maintenance: When mounting a new bucket on a mini excavator, it is crucial to thoroughly verify the technical condition of the connecting pins and the machine's dipper arm. The factory-fitted bushings in the bucket ears ensure an optimal fit, minimizing lateral play during operation. It is absolutely essential to regularly grease the pin gudgeons (at least once per day of intensive operation) to prevent premature hole wear and protect the kinematic linkage of the arm.
Due to the nature of working in hard ground, periodically check the tightness of the tooth mounting bolts – high impact loads and vibrations can cause the nuts to loosen over time, risking losing a tooth in the trench.
