If the operator has to use a lot of force to open the door, it means that the main lock latch on the pillar is dirty, rusted, or poorly adjusted. Before installing a new handle, thoroughly clean the entire mechanism in the door and lubricate it with dry Teflon grease (PTFE). Solid grease in the machine's cabin quickly catches dust, forming a hard mass that blocks the lock springs.
