Technical Advice: Always replace gas springs in pairs! If one of them is worn and sags, and you only replace that one, the new spring will take on almost the entire load of the heavy glass. This results in its rapid wear. Additionally, remember the correct mounting orientation: the cylinder (the thicker part filled with gas) should be positioned higher than the piston rod (the thin rod). This way, the oil inside the cylinder constantly lubricates the seals, which drastically extends the life of the part.
