Technical Advice: The steering system in wheel loaders transfers enormous forces, especially when working with a full bucket on uneven terrain. The appearance of play in the steering cylinder bushings causes the machine to "float" or wander during road travel and leads to accelerated tire wear. When replacing the 45mm bushing, always check the condition of the steering pins. If the pin is worn, installing a new bushing will not fully eliminate the play. Remember to lubricate regularly (every 10-50 operating hours depending on conditions) to maintain the protective film inside the bushing and flush out sand and water.
