Workshop Tip: The front arm of a backhoe loader is subjected to high loads. When replacing the pin, it is absolutely crucial to verify the condition of the mating bushing – installing a new pin in a worn out bushing defeats the purpose, as the new component will be damaged very quickly due to increased play. Before installation, ensure that the lubrication channels in the pin (if present in this model) and grease nipples are 100% clear. Regular, daily greasing of the working system is the only way to drastically extend the life of the pin-bushing connections.
