Technical Advice: Before installing the shim, thoroughly clean the contact surface between the boom lug and the pin housing. Axial play left exceeding 1 mm drastically accelerates the wear of pin seals and can lead to fatigue cracking of the arm welds. During adjustment, aim for minimum resistance during axial movement, which guarantees correct grease distribution throughout the joint.
