JCB BOOM Wear Pad Adjustment Shim 0.5 mm - AZERI PARTS 162/01129

A 0.5 mm thick spacer shim by AZERI PARTS. Designed for adjusting the clearances of the telescopic arm (BOOM) wear pads in JCB machines. By using a thin 0.5 mm shim, it is possible to very precisely eliminate play between the boom sections, which prevents load "drifting," improves extension smoothness, and protects the arm structure from mechanical damage resulting from sections striking one another.

Workshop Technical Advice: 0.5 mm shims are ideal for the final "fine-tuning" of play when standard 1.0 mm or 2.0 mm shims prove too thick and cause the boom to bind. Remember that the telescopic boom must never be fitted with "zero play" – a minimum clearance (usually approx. 1-2 mm) must be maintained to allow for free grease flow and to compensate for the thermal expansion of the metal during intensive work. When adjusting, always check the clearances with the boom fully retracted and fully extended.
