Technical Advice: Proper wear pad adjustment is crucial for operational safety. Excessive boom play causes "load floating" on the forks and sudden jerks during telescope extension. 2mm shims are used when the wear pad itself is not yet completely worn out, but the distance between the arm sections exceeds service standards. During installation, remember to maintain symmetry—always check clearances on both sides of the boom. Operating with excessive play leads to irreversible scratching of the arm's internal surfaces, which drastically reduces the machine's value and increases future repair costs.
