JCB Spacer Shim 90x5mm
This 5 mm thick steel spacer shim is an adjustment component essential for eliminating axial play in the pin joints of heavy JCB construction machinery. 90 mm diameter shims are used in the most heavily loaded structural points where immense pressure forces occur. Their purpose is to precisely fill the gap in joints, which restores equipment stability, prevents arm "chatter," and protects components from mechanical wear.

- Large Wheel Loaders: 400 series (e.g., 426, 436, 456),
- Heavy-duty Telescopic Handlers: models with a lift capacity over 4 tonnes,
- Main boom and arm pivot points in excavators weighing 20 tonnes and up.
Technical Tip: Leaving axial play on the pin leads to rapid damage (ovalization) of the arm seats, which entails very costly regeneration. When installing the shim, ensure that after assembling the entire joint, approximately 0.5 mm of free space remains. This minimal clearance is essential for grease to circulate freely within the joint and lubricate the entire pin surface.
