Workshop Tip: During every pin or bushing replacement, always check the axial clearance. Leaving too large a gap leads to the "pounding out" of the pin seats in the machine frame. Shims with a 1 mm thickness allow for precise elimination of play until minimal resistance is achieved, which significantly extends the period between major pivot overhauls.
