JCB Brake Piston Seal - ORIGINAL

Original brake piston sealing ring. Maintains the tightness and efficiency of the brake system operating in oil (so-called wet brakes). It is responsible for maintaining the hydraulic pressure acting on the piston, which enables effective compression of the brake discs and safe stopping of the machine.

Technical Features:

  • Material: Made of a specialized elastomer resistant to aggressive additives found in transmission-hydraulic oils (UTTO/STOU types).
  • High Thermal Resistance: Maintains elasticity and sealing parameters even at high temperatures generated during intense braking.
  • Geometry: Perfectly matched seal profile prevents "swelling" and hardening of the material, eliminating the risk of piston seizure or internal leaks resulting in weak braking force.

Technical Advice: Damage to brake piston seals most often manifests as a "soft" brake pedal or the need for frequent system bleeding. When replacing seals, it is absolutely essential to check the condition of the bore surface in the axle/final drive housing. Any scratch in the sealing area will lead to its rapid destruction. During installation, it is recommended to moisten the seal with clean brake or hydraulic oil (matching the machine's specification) to avoid folding or nicking it on the mounting edges.
