JCB Gear Shift Lever Rubber Boot / Gaiter - ORIGINAL
Original rubber boot (gaiter) for the gear / direction shift lever. A part designed to cover the control mechanisms inside the cabin. This component serves both a protective and aesthetic function, isolating the moving joints and selector cables from the external environment of the construction machine's cabin.
Technical Features:
- Flexibility and durability: Made of a high-quality rubber compound that does not perish, harden, or crack in sub-zero temperatures or under the continuous operation of the lever.
- System integrity: Perfect fit to the console profile prevents dust, dirt, and mud from entering the precise gear shift mechanism.
- Cabin aesthetics: Restores the factory and tidy appearance of the machine's interior, which positively affects the operator's overall working comfort.
Compatibility with JCB Machines:
| Backhoe Loaders |
210/212, 214/215/217, 2CX, 3CX ENTRY LEVEL (Global), 3CX, 3DX, 4/4C/4CN, 4CX, 4DX |
| Site Dumpers |
6 TONNE, 7 TONNE, 9 TONNE |
Technical Advice: A torn or holed lever boot is not just a visual flaw. In construction machines, ubiquitous dust easily penetrates through cracks straight into the moving parts of the joint (the so-called ball joint) and linkages. Over time, this leads to the seizing of the mechanism and enormous resistance when shifting gears. Before installing the new rubber boot, it is highly recommended to thoroughly blow out the dirt accumulated in the selector and generously lubricate the mechanism with white lithium grease (spray) or a special Teflon grease.
