JCB Lever Gaiter Mounting - ORIGINAL

Original control lever gaiter retainer (frame), designed for JCB construction and industrial machinery. This component is responsible for the stable attachment of the rubber boot (gaiter) to the operator's console. Perfectly matched to the lever's geometry, it effectively protects precision control mechanisms (linkages, hydraulic valves, switches) from dust, sand, and moisture entering the cabin interior.

Technical Advice: A damaged or loose lever gaiter retainer is often overlooked, but it leads to rapid wear of the rubber boot. Through an unsealed mount, dust enters the cabin and acts as an abrasive on the lever joints, which over time causes play in the controls. When replacing the retainer, it is worth checking the condition of the clips or mounting screws in the console itself to ensure a fully airtight and dustproof barrier.
