During every bearing or swivel pin replacement, carefully check the condition of the seats in the mounting. If play is felt even after installing new bushings, the bracket must be replaced. Remember to regularly lubricate the pivot points – a lack of grease is the quickest path to seizure and costly seat wear in this component.
