JCB Transmission Proportional Solenoid Valve - GMOVE
Proportional transmission control solenoid valve (electrovalve) by GMOVE. Component of the electro-hydraulic transmission control system in JCB machines (e.g., Powershift type). Responsible for precise regulation of the oil pressure supplying individual directional clutches and gear ranges.
Technical features:
- Proportional control: Unlike standard valves (on/off type), the proportional valve reacts to a PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal from the controller. This allows for a smooth pressure increase and gentle, jerk-free gear engagement and direction changes.
- Location in the system: Mounted directly in the main valve block on the transmission housing.

Technical Advice: Jerks during direction changes (so-called reverser) or a noticeable delay in gear engagement are the most common symptoms of a damaged or jammed proportional valve. Before installing a new solenoid valve, absolutely check the condition of the transmission oil and filters. Metal shavings in contaminated oil can block the microscopic gaps of the new valve's spool in the very first minutes of operation. It is also worth verifying the condition of the electrical harness and the plug itself – oxidized contacts or a damaged wire interfere with the PWM signal, giving symptoms identical to a mechanical valve failure. After replacing the component in machines with advanced controllers, recalibration of the transmission (so-called clutch adaptation) is often required.
