Gearbox Piston Housing (fits JCB) - OEM 459/P9870
OEM-quality gearbox piston housing for JCB backhoe loaders, telescopic handlers and Fastrac tractors. The piston housing is a component of the hydraulic gearbox control system - it forms the body in which the clutch piston operates to engage the selected gear or range. A cracked or damaged housing causes gearbox oil leaks, loss of hydraulic control pressure and difficulty engaging gears. Workshop Technical Tip: When replacing the piston housing, always check the condition of the piston sealing rings - a damaged housing often accompanies worn rings that have lost their seal and are causing control pressure loss. Thoroughly clean all oil passages in the housing before assembly. Always use new seals and O-rings - old seals will cause leaks after assembly. After reassembly, check the hydraulic control pressure and verify correct gear engagement before returning the machine to work.
