JCB EGR Cooler - ORIGINAL
Original EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) cooler. Designed for modern DIESELMAX engines. Its main task is to lower the temperature of hot exhaust gases before reintroducing them into the intake manifold and combustion chamber. This process reduces the emission of harmful nitrogen oxides (NOx), helps meet strict emission standards, and protects the EGR valve itself from melting.
Technical Features:
- High heat exchange efficiency: The optimized, multi-channel internal structure of the core maximizes the heat dissipation area, rapidly cooling the exhaust gases using coolant from the engine's cooling system.
- Resistance to thermal cracking: Made of high-grade acid-resistant and stainless steel. This guarantees resistance to extreme temperature differences and chemically aggressive sulfur compounds present in the exhaust gases.

Technical Advice: The most typical symptom of a cracked EGR cooler is an unexplained loss of coolant (with no puddles under the machine) and thick, sweet-smelling white smoke from the exhaust. This is a critical failure! Ignoring it can lead to drawing a large amount of fluid into the cylinder and bending the connecting rod (hydro-lock). When installing a new cooler, it is mandatory to install new metal gaskets on the flanges, check the EGR valve for patency, and clean it of carbon deposits if necessary.
