JCB DIESELMAX Connecting Rod Bolt - ORIGINAL

Original connecting rod bolt. A part dedicated to DIESELMAX family engines. It is a structural component of the engine, responsible for the safe and rigid connection of the connecting rod big end to the crankshaft journal. This bolt must withstand high tensile forces and dynamic overloads generated during the power and exhaust strokes.

Technical Advice: Connecting rod bolts in modern diesel engines are torque-to-yield (stretch) bolts that undergo permanent elongation during tightening. These are single-use parts! Absolutely replace them with new ones every time the connecting rod big end is disassembled. Tighten them exclusively using a torque wrench and an angle gauge, strictly following the manufacturer's specifications (appropriate torque + specified angle in degrees). Attempting to reuse an old bolt is the fastest way to a catastrophic engine failure. Lightly lubricate the threads and the underside of the bolt head with clean engine oil before installation.
