Technical Advice: When replacing injector O-rings, pay close attention to the cleanliness of the injector seat. Even the smallest grain of sand can cause a leak. Before installation, it is recommended to lightly moisten the new O-ring with clean diesel fuel, which will facilitate seating and prevent accidental shearing or twisting during installation. Worn seals are a common cause of engine "sweating" around the injectors and difficulty starting after prolonged downtime.
