Description

JCB Mechanical Fuel Pump DIESELMAX - ORIGINAL

Original mechanical fuel (lift) pump. Designed for machines powered by DIESELMAX engines. It is responsible for drawing fuel from the tank and pumping it at low pressure through the filters straight to the high-pressure injection pump. It ensures a stable, uninterrupted flow of diesel fuel, which is important for the proper operation of the entire fuel system.

Technical Features:

  • Efficient pumping mechanism: A cam-diaphragm or plunger design resistant to fuel contaminants, guaranteeing the maintenance of the proper supply pressure regardless of engine RPM.
  • Precise check valves: Prevent fuel from draining back into the tank after the machine is turned off, which eliminates the problem of air entering the system and the need for long starter cranking in the morning.
  • Seal integrity: A solid seal on the pump shaft prevents external diesel fuel leaks and, more importantly, blocks the possibility of diesel entering the engine block and diluting the engine oil.

Technical Advice: Before installing the new pump, thoroughly clean the mating surface on the engine block and always use a new gasket or mounting O-ring. Replacing the lift pump is a mandatory time to replace the fuel filter and water separator. If the old pump failed internally (seal failure on the tappet/pushrod), absolutely check the condition of the engine oil. If you smell diesel in it or the level on the dipstick has risen, the oil and oil filter must be replaced immediately to prevent engine seizing.
