Workshop Technical Tip: Before replacing the pump, make sure the problem is not a clogged fuel filter or lines - a common cause mistaken for pump failure. Check the supply voltage (24V) and earth at the pump connector before removing it - no power may be down to a relay or fuse. When fitting, note the fuel flow direction (arrow on the body) and keep the connections clean - debris entering the pump shortens its life. After replacement, bleed the fuel system per the ISUZU procedure. Make sure the connections seal properly - a leak on the suction side causes air ingress and rough running.
