Description

JCB Oil Strainer Seal in Sump DIESELMAX - ORIGINAL

Original oil pan pickup tube (suction pipe) seal. Designed for DIESELMAX family engines. It is responsible for an absolutely tight connection between the oil pickup tube and the oil pump. It guarantees that the pump draws oil exclusively from the bottom of the pan, preventing leaks.

Technical Features:

  • Thermal and chemical resistance: Made of a specialized elastomer that does not harden, shrink, or crack under continuous contact with hot engine oil and contaminants.
  • Elimination of cavitation: Perfect dimensional fit to the pickup tube flange and pump body prevents air suction, which maintains a stable and nominal oil pressure in the main gallery.
  • Protection of main components: A properly functioning seal eliminates lubrication pressure drops, protecting the crankshaft, bearings, turbocharger, and timing system from dry running and seizing.

Technical Advice: This is a classic single-use part. Every time the oil pan is removed or the pump pickup tube is unscrewed, the seal must absolutely be replaced with a new one. An old, hardened, or flattened seal will cause the pump to draw air from the upper part of the pan (especially when the machine is tilted), which will manifest as a flickering oil pressure warning light at idle and lead to rapid engine seizing. The mating surfaces of the tube and pump must be perfectly clean before installation.
