Oil Pumps – The Heart of the Engine

A worn oil pump cannot generate adequate pressure, leading to crankshaft bearing seizure. We offer KMP Brand and Perkins oil pumps:

  • Gear and rotor pumps with precise clearances.
  • Complete with drive gears (where applicable).
  • Pumps integrated with balancer units for Perkins/CAT engines.

Engine Oil Coolers

In JCB and CAT engines, the oil cooler (heat exchanger) often corrodes, causing oil to mix with coolant. We stock:

Oil in coolant – what does it mean?

Most often, this is a symptom of a failed engine oil cooler. The exchanger cracks internally, and oil under higher pressure enters the water system. This requires immediate cooler replacement and system flushing.

When to replace the oil pump?

The pump should be replaced preventively during every major engine overhaul (crankshaft grinding). Leaving an old pump with a new crankshaft is a mistake that can cost you another engine seizure.

Is the dipstick universal?

No. The length of the dipstick depends on the depth of the oil pan in a given machine. You must select the dipstick by engine number for the oil level reading to be reliable.
