Workshop Tip: Replacing the engine oil cooler with a new one is absolutely crucial after any failure related to bearing damage or engine seizure. Metal shavings circulating in the lubrication system inevitably settle inside the tight channels of the cooler and are impossible to completely remove by flushing. Leaving the old cooler in place risks subsequent damage to the newly repaired engine. During installation, always use new, dedicated gaskets.
