Workshop Technical Tip: The main hydraulic pump is extremely sensitive to contamination. Before fitting the new pump, always flush the entire hydraulic system and renew the oil and all filters (return, pilot, suction). The most common cause of new pump failure shortly after installation is debris from the previous, failed unit left in the lines or oil cooler. Also remember to pre-fill the new pump housing with clean hydraulic oil before the first start to avoid running dry. After installation, check and adjust the control pressure to the machine's service specification.
