JCB Main Hydraulic Tandem Pump (112cc) - 215/11278

High-performance tandem (double) main hydraulic pump, based on a proven axial piston system. It is the heart of the JCB JS crawler excavator hydraulic system, responsible for powering all primary machine functions: boom/arm movements, upper structure swing, and travel drive. The pump features variable displacement, allowing for precise power control while optimizing fuel consumption.

Workshop Technical Tip: Before installing the new main pump, it is absolutely necessary to fill the housing with clean hydraulic oil through the upper drain port. A "dry start" will lead to piston seizure within the first few seconds of operation. After mounting the pump and connecting the lines, the system must be vented by loosening the air vent plug on the pump with the engine off until oil flows out without air bubbles. When replacing the pump, we also recommend replacing the return filter and the pilot control filter to avoid damaging the new unit with any metal shavings from the old system.
