Workshop Tip: Replacing the main pump requires absolute cleanliness. Before installing the new pump, be sure to replace the hydraulic oil filter and check the condition of the old oil – if the previous pump seized up and "shed metal shavings," the entire system must be thoroughly flushed; otherwise, the new pump will fail within its first hours of operation.
Key step during installation: Before first engine startup, manually prime the inside of the new pump with fresh hydraulic oil through the suction port and rotate the shaft several times by hand. A dry run without prior priming will immediately cause the aluminum thrust plates to seize, leading to permanent and irreversible pump damage. Also, make sure the drive's direction of rotation (CCW - counter-clockwise) matches the machine's specification – running the pump in reverse will instantly blow out the shaft seal.
