Technical Advice: Seals sized 50 mm / 90 mm are very common, often operating in stabilizer or boom cylinders. Before applying the new kit, ensure the 50 mm rod is completely free of microscopic chrome chips or burrs – these will rapidly destroy the new wiper and lip seals. Prior to fitting the rigid polyurethane piston seal onto the 90 mm piston, we highly recommend soaking the ring in hot (clean) hydraulic oil. This will make the material more flexible and allow it to be safely stretched into the groove without the risk of cracking.
