Technical Advice: When replacing seals in 45 mm / 70 mm cylinders, ensure that the inside of the gland (cylinder head) is meticulously cleaned and degreased. Pay special attention to the smoothness of the rod surface (45 mm) – any chrome chips, deep scratches, or rust will cause rapid destruction of the new wiper seal lip. Before sliding the assembled piston into the cylinder bore, generously lubricate the new seals with clean hydraulic oil. This crucial step prevents a "dry start" and protects the O-rings from rolling and breaking during the initial movement phase.
