JCB Cylinder Gland Seal 65x50x11.5mm
Gland seal (rod seal) designed for hydraulic cylinders in JCB machinery. This component is an essential part of the sealing kit, responsible for maintaining system integrity where the piston rod exits the cylinder. Thanks to its precise lip profile, the seal effectively retains hydraulic oil within the working chamber, even during sudden pressure spikes.

Technical Advice: Before installing the new seal, the piston rod should undergo a thorough inspection. Even microscopic scratches (so-called "hooks" or burrs) on the chrome surface can instantly damage the lip of the new seal, leading to recurring leaks. The seal must be installed with the lip side facing the inside of the cylinder (towards the pressure). It is recommended to moisten the element with fresh hydraulic oil before seating it in the gland to minimize the risk of lip rollover during the cylinder's first movement.
