Hose Burst Check Valves (HBCV) – Safety
Hose Burst Check Valves (HBCV), commonly known as boom locks, are critical for operational safety. Mounted directly on cylinders (boom, dipper, bucket), they lock the oil in case of a supply hose rupture, preventing uncontrolled drop of the arm. If your boom "drifts" (drops) while parked, a leaking HBCV is usually the culprit.
Steering Solenoids (Crab Steer) & Hammer
In JCB 3CX/4CX machines, steering mode switching (2WS/4WS/Crab) is handled by specific solenoid valves (often blue coils). Their failure locks wheels in one position or prevents synchronization. We also offer hammer line control valves (e.g., pedal blocks) from Azeri Parts, a cost-effective alternative to complete OEM kits.
Auxiliary Relief Valves (ARV)
ARVs act as "fuses" for individual machine functions. They are screwed into the distributor sections. If, for example, the bucket crowd function is very weak while the rest of the machine works correctly, the ARV for that section is likely stuck open or has a broken spring.
💡 Replacing a valve in the distributor?
The most common cause of sticking valves is metal particles in the oil. Be sure to check the filters:
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Manufacturers (OEM) do not recommend refurbishing HBCV valves due to safety reasons. These are precision components, and seat leakage qualifies the valve for replacement.
Most of our ARV valves (Azeri/OEM) are factory-set to a specific pressure (e.g., 276 Bar). We do not recommend adjusting the valve without a pressure gauge attached, as it risks damaging the pump.
Steering mode issues (Crab)?
Often the fault lies not with the valve itself, but with the proximity sensor on the axle. However, if the solenoid coil doesn't "click" or is burnt out, you will find the right control valve here.
