Technical Advice: Weakening of the clutch basket springs is one of the main causes of gear "slipping" and jerking during shifts. A fatigued spring does not provide full pressure to the discs, leading to their rapid overheating and burning. During every clutch basket overhaul, it is recommended to replace the entire set of springs – even if they visually appear functional, they may have micro-cracks or lost clamping force. Before installation, ensure that the springs seat freely in the basket sockets and are not blocked by metal shavings in the oil.
