High-quality steel differential spacer (pressure plate / steel spacer) by AM PREMIUM with a nominal thickness of 1.6 mm (or 1.5 mm). This component features 4 locating tabs (external ears), designed for drive axles of JCB construction, agricultural, and industrial machinery. The spacer works directly with friction discs in limited slip differential (LSD - Limited Slip Differential) lock packs. Workshop Tip: Steel spacers with 4 external tabs play a crucial role in heat dissipation from the differential friction discs. Massive amounts of heat are generated during axle operation under heavy load (e.g., when wheels spin in mud).

Golden rules for differential overhaul:
1. Always replace in sets: Steel spacers work alternately with friction discs. Installing a new friction disc on an old, worn, or warped steel spacer will drastically shorten the lifespan of the new part and cause a rapid return of axle chattering and knocking.
2. Flatness inspection: Before assembly, ensure that any old spacers you decide to reuse (though replacing the entire set is highly recommended) are perfectly flat. Place them on a smooth piece of glass and check if they exhibit a "dishing effect" or show purple discoloration indicating steel overheating.
3. Use the correct oil: Remember that even the best AM Premium spacers and discs will not help if the axle is filled with standard gear oil. Limited Slip systems require oils with LS additives (e.g., JCB Gear Oil HP 90 LS), which prevents sudden loss of traction on wet discs and eliminates vibrations (chatter).
